GTAOnline Event Week January 19th – 25th
As the warmer weather starts to soak up the glitz and glamour of Southern San Andreas, the action continues with another Event Week. Earn bonus log-in items, as well as the ability to kick off your own taxi career by ferrying those rich a-holes around. Check out everything available this week in GTA Online below.
LOG-IN UNLOCKS
Log into GTA Online this week to unlock the FREE ‘Traditional Painted Rabbit’ mask and the ‘Rabbit’ tattoo.
For those subscribed to GTA+, logging in will also unlock you the ‘Yeti Year of the Rabbit Tee’ (Special Top) and the ‘Noh Painted Rabbit’ mask.
INTRODUCING NEW TAXI WORK MISSIONS
Following the release of the Los Santos Drug Wars Update, one part of the drip-feed content was the ability to earn a true wage from Taxi Work at Downtown Cab Co. – Well, it’s now available. Simply head to the taxi hub located in East Vinewood next to the Diamond Casino & Resort to grab your keys and hit the streets. Remember, the quicker you complete your fair and the smoother the ride, the more income you’ll receive!
Completing multiple fares without quitting will earn you additional bonuses, however don’t forget whenever you end your taxi work it’ll boot you out of the cab, so don’t get quitting whilst on the top of Mount Chiliad…
TAXI AND BRICKADE 6X6 NOW AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE FROM WARSTOCK CACHE & CARRY
In order to start your new career as a cabbie as mentioned above, you’ll first need yourself a taxi. Head to the Warstock Cache & Carry website where you can purchase your shiny new ride. The standard price is $650,000 or $487,500 on trade. If you’re a GTA+ subscriber then it’s completely FREE!
The Brickade 6×6 which released with the Los Santos Drug Wars Update is also now available to purchase from Warstock Cache & Carry for $1,450,000. – If you already own the Acid Lab you’ll be unable to purchase the Brickade 6×6 as you’ll already own it.
TAXI FAST TRAVEL NOW AVAILABLE
Along with the introduction of taxi missions, a long-awaited feature of being able to Fast Travel is now available for players. Simply give Downtown Cab Co. a call via your in-game phone who will dispatch a cab to you. On arrival, jump in and select from a variety of different locations which will allow you to ‘skip’ and in theory, Fast Travel. – Note: The Fast Travel option only works for a selection of locations and will not work for Waypoints. There is also a short cooldown between each Fast Travel. Check out a video from @Fluuffball on Twitter.

Nothing violates the tranquillity of green hills or lonely desert roads as efficiently as competitive motorsport. Kill two birds with one time trial all the way from Vinewood Bowl to Paleto Cove.
