Ray Liotta – The Voice Behind GTA: Vice City’s Tommy Vercetti has Died, Aged 67
From what has come as a shock to many, today marks an incredibly sad day in both the Rockstar Games community and film industry.
Ray Liotta, the fantastic actor who’s career broke out in the early 90’s with crime classic The Goodfellas following Field of Dreams, as well as voicing the iconic Tommy Vercetti from GTA: Vice City, has died aged only 67.
From Deadline, it would appear that Liotta passed away peacefully during his sleep whilst in the Dominican Republic where he was shooting Dangerous Waters, the next film he was due to star in. He has left behind his daughter, Karsen and his finance Jacy. Our thoughts are with them at what must be an incredibly difficult time.
Ray wasn’t just famous for his role as Tommy in GTA: Vice City, but also many other iconic characters within the film industry. We felt it was only right to acknowledge this, and have included below a video from 2019 produced by GQ, which features an in-depth break down of Ray Liott’s most iconic characters.
We will report more on his death as information unfolds.
